My professional mission is to serve the organization and community through leadership and administration and a commitment to success and access, while effectively investing in human, social, political, built, financial, natural, and cultural capitals and prudently serving as the steward of institutional and organizational resources.
My ethos is supported through excellence, modeling servant leadership, and fostering inclusivity, teamwork, collaboration, and partnerships. I believe a strong foundation is built upon shared governance, transparency, open communication, diversity, and encouraging life-long learning.
Among the values I hold as important are mutual respect, excellence, service, honesty, hard work, and a healthy sense of humor. My talents and skills are supported by a unique combination of formal education, three decades of senior executive experience in the private, non profit, public and educational sectors, and recognized excellence in entrepreneurship, teaching, leadership and scholarship.
My mission and values serve to inform my academic educational scholarship. In particular, my research interests significantly contribute to the advancement of two-and four-year degree programs, dual enrollment, student success and access, equity, and the role higher education can play in closing the attainment gap, improving the nation’s competitive standing on the global stage, and meeting the demands of the state and local workforce.
- Dr. Gregg Busch
This is the moment when I met the 10th United States Secretary of Education, Dr. John King, Jr., and before I could speak he said to me - “You’re Gregg Busch - I know who you are! You’re doing great work in Arizona!” I was totally shocked. Today, he is the President and CEO of The Education Trust.
